S.P.A.C.E. (Spotlighting and Promoting African Canadian Experiences) is a collaborative research and social innovation programme for acquiring and providing access to individual and collective memories and contemporary records about members of the African Diaspora in Canada. As an initiative that is deeply invested in the communities we hope to continue to serve, we are establishing links with individuals, groups, institutions and organizations across Canada whose personal and community knowledge about and/or interest in African Canadian experiences make them indispensable partners in this quest. Through this S.P.A.C.E. Network, we hope to build a chorus of voices which, although different in their volumes, tones and cadences, will help to spotlight and promote the contributions of persons of African descent in Canada.
