The Harriet Tubman Institute hosts the Major Collaborative Research Initiative, “Slavery, Memory, Citizenship,” which is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The MCRI Project is associated with the UNESCO Slave Route Project and involves collaboration with scholars and research centres world-wide.
